The primary goal of NVHA’s public health program is to improve the health of Nisga’a citizens. Education and prevention are key values of the program.

NVHA is comprised of four (4) health centres located in each of the Nisga’a communities in the very beautiful and picturesque Nass Valley, BC.

A range of diagnostic, treatment, educational and consultation services to help you with the psychological issues you may be facing.

WHAT WE DO

Nisga’a Valley Health Authority (NVHA) is committed to improving the health of our people, our communities, and our Nation.

Parents can then pick up their child’s prescription without having to worry about paying out of pocket for prescriptions.

All Nisga’a citizens are pre-authorized for two (2) Crisis Intervention counselling sessions.

We assist clients to obtain prescriptive drugs through a medical prescription.

We assist clients to obtain medical supplies, and medical equipment through a medical prescription.

Helping clients get access to the vision care they need.

Assisting with medical transportation to health services not available in your home community.

If a Non-Insured Health Benefit is denied, you can appeal the decision.

Nisga’a Valley Health Authority (NVHA) is well aware of the significance of the program, and its significance to the health and well-being of Nisga’a citizens. As a result, the NVHA fully supports the program regardless of the deficit it incurs each year, but needs your assistance to help reduce costs.
