Your doctor says you need blood work or other lab tests. What do you need to do next?

You can get your lab tests done within the valley. Call your community’s clinic to book your lab tests.

  • Gitlaxt’aamiks: 250-633-5000 – Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
  • Gitwinksihlkw: 250-633-5000 – Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
  • Laxgalts’ap: 250-621-3274 – Monday to Friday 9am-5pm
  • Gingolx: 250-326-4258 – Monday to Friday 9am-5pm

Gitlaxt’aamiks and Gitwinksihlkw samples are collected Monday and Wednesday afternoon and Tuesday and Thursday morning. Gingolx and Laxgalts’ap samples are collected Monday and Wednesday afternoon. Samples may be collected outside of the above times. Contact clinic for assistance.

If you do not want to do your lab tests in the valley or you’re doing a special test that is only available in Terrace, you may book at one of two labs in Terrace. First tell the doctor or clinic receptionist which lab you’d like to visit so they can fax the requisition to the correct lab (can take 2 business days to process). There are two labs in Terrace: LifeLabs and Mills Memorial Hospital you can make an appointment online or by phoning the individual labs.

For test results from Lifelabs create a MyCareCompass account go to:  MyCareCompass: Login (lifelabs.com)

For routine tests, results should be available in 2-3 days. For specialised test, results could take several weeks.
