Health Canada is seeking Indigenous peoples’ perspectives on medical assistance in dying (MAID). Their perspectives will help the Federal government establish culturally safe, informed MAID policies.

They’re seeking feeding from all types of Indigenous peoples, including elders, knowledge keepers, students, youth, people living with disabilities and the LGBTQIA2S+ community.

You can provide feedback by completing a survey, questionnaire and other engagements materials on this page.

You can also provide your input at a virtual or in-person information session. To learn more or register for one of them, please click this link.

If you want to attend an in-person session but can’t, keep checking the site because more will be scheduled soon.

We understand that MAID is a complex topic. To find out more about MAID, please visit this  Federal Government webpage.  If you still have questions, please call your local health centre and book an appointment with your doctor.
